The home inspection is a non-invasive examination of the domicile. We look for defects or malfunctions in the building structure, including, but not limited to the roof, paint, windows, doors and foundation. The inspection includes a thorough assessment of the heating/cooling systems, plumbing, and electrical. In addition to the home, the examination includes the land surrounding the structure in an effort to detect issues related to grade, drainage, retaining walls, and any vegetation negatively affecting the home. A infrared thermal reading on windows, doors and attic will be performed with a home inspection.
We conduct a Radon test and it is usually a 2 day process. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer. Radon levels should be less than 4 PCI/L. You can't see or smell radon. Specific testing is the only way to detect unsafe levels.
We detect infestations of wood-boring insects such as termites and flying beatles, as well as dry rot and other fungal conditions.
Sewer/ Septic Inspection
A camera inspection is completed on sewer lines and a septic dye test is performed to determine the condition of the septic system.
